MEDITATION & PRANAYAMA
In this day and age, our mind is constantly at work. Through the constant media consumption of cell phone & Co. we are constantly "sonicated" and ONLINE.
Constantly we think of things, thoughts race through our head like in a washing machine. Things that occupy us from the past or things that we still want to do or organize.
MEDITATION
Stress, overwork, headaches or sleep disorders are the result. We seek escape or distraction (via cell phone, computer, work, TV, alcohol, media, drugs...). We think that this frees us from our thoughts to turn off the mind and "have peace of mind". So that we can just BE for a short moment without constantly receiving anything of thoughts.
Through meditation we learn to do this without distractions or addictions, because we can't just turn off the thoughts. We can, however, learn to deal with them. We consciously take time to observe our mind. This has a very restorative effect on our entire system. What does not always "work" immediately at the beginning can be learned. Already after a short time we succeed in meditation much faster and deeper. It is like training in the gym, by practicing it becomes easier and easier.
THE MIND IS LIKE WATER. WHEN IT’S TURBULENT, IT’S DIFFICULT TO SEE. WHEN IT’S CALM, EVERYTHING BECOMES CLEAR
